Councillors
Chair, Cllr Janet Rogers
A relatively new Parish Councillor, I’ve lived in Rockland St Mary for almost 4 years and found the village to be extremely welcoming to newcomers. My interests are gardening, crafting, walking, birdwatching, and exploring the area with Rosie my King Charles Cavalier.
There is no shortage of things to do in the village and I am looking forward to supporting the community in any way that I can.

I've lived in Rockland St Mary for almost 10 years and been a Parish Councillor since 2020. I am a full time Civil Engineer and work on maintaining the flood defences around the Broads and/or designing new defences in the East of England, amongst other things. I love walking, gardening and bird watching. I'm also just starting to develop a plot on the allotments, so can regularly be found pottering around it.

Cllr Paul Francis
I'm 59, retired and have lived in Hellington for 8 years, I moved from Brentwood in Essex. I worked as a fish porter in Billingsgate for 35 years, more recently here as a builders mate and at Christmas as a mail sorter. I'm married with no children, we've always had dogs, Bearded Collies to be precise. We have one at the moment called Pharley. I love walking locally and working on our barn.

Juliette joined the Parish Council in February 2023. After a long career in media, international development and then university teaching, Juliette took up gardening and studied for her RHS Level 2 Horticulture qualifications. Cllr John Sayles
Happily resident in the village with my wife and family dog, for the last five years now. I'm a chartered certified accountant with senior leadership experience in both the private and public sectors. I'm keen to help maintain the rural nature of our village for the benefit of our residents. I have a particular interest in local history and archaeology and wish to record and preserve our heritage for future generations.
Cllr Anthony Wright
I have lived in Rockland since 2011 and am one of the newest councillors being co-opted in 2023.
I am a keen walker and can often be seen walking the footpaths around Rockland and Hellington with my wife, Sally-anne and mad cockerpoo Lola. The dark skies of Rockland have enabled me to revisit my childhood interest of Astronomy and clear nights will often see me in the back garden with my small telescope scouring the skies for planets and meteors. I’ve recently taken an allotment and can be regularly found working there growing my own vegetables.

Cllr Jayme Forbes
I've been living in Rockland St Mary since 2018 with my wife Vicki. I grew up in Norwich and both our families live in Norfolk. We have a cat called Pickle. I'm a Measured Building Surveyor specialising in commercial building plans and floor areas. Some of my work is in London so I sometimes commute from Norwich train station which I cycle to and from. I enjoy walking, cycling and jogging around the Broads. My hobbies are computing and I like to watch the latest TV series. As a councillor I want to promote community engagement and look forward to assisting the parish however I can.

Charlotte Rust, Parish Clerk
I moved up to Norfolk 9 years ago from the Southeast. I worked in the Gas and Oil industry until 2019 when I left to look after my two children and have been working in my local convenience store since then. Ready for a new challenge I was appointed Parish Clerk in September 2022, which I am very much enjoying, and no week is the same.
I live in Poringland with my husband and two young children and enjoying reading, cross-stitch and yoga with any free time I can get.
